Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a Parent trainer, your role would be to leverage your expertise in developmental disabilities and provide training services to the parent community in Telugu. Hindi and English will be an added advantage<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary role is to support parents of children with developmental disabilities through parent training programs that help them accept the condition, change their perspective with a strength-based approach, provide home-based intervention, and form strong parent communities through Saksham and other initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role is to assist the training team in streamlining the training modules, refine the presentations\/activities and deliver the content with quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conduct Parent training \/ Support group meets \/ Workshops<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for in-person, and virtual parent training<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Facilitate and help design in-person\/online workshops, and parent training programs that will fall under the work purview<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Conducting in-person\/online support group meetings and providing a safe space for families to share their concerns as a follow-up to the training<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Work with the team to identify topics and requirements of the parent communities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Work and collaborate with various experts to create training modules<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Refine presentations\/content as per the training requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Assist the reporting manager with the development of the parent training manuals<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partnerships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Assist the reporting manager and outreach team to forge and build partnerships with NGOs and Govt organisations for parent training and ensure mobilisation of the parent community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Participate in strategizing with the outreach team on parent training in smaller towns and build partnerships to support families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Participate in monitoring and evaluation work<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Ability to work in a team<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Liaison with senior parents, parent community and experts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf During the non-Saksham periods, the candidate will be expected to participate and support the helpline with complex queries or with queries which are a follow-up of Saksham Training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Counsel caregivers on queries about their child\u2019s condition, and therapies and provide appropriate support for their child<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Work closely with the parent training head and ensure appropriate documentation of the queries<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Moderate WhatsApp parent support groups, answer ongoing queries and trigger conversations<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Document and maintain data derived from outreach initiatives and support group sessions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Engage and lead target audience surveys or focus group discussions to understand the impact of information resources available on the website for internal monitoring and improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Telugu Digital Content:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Participate in suggestions for content in Telugu<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Review content to ensure ease of language<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desired Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knowledge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Masters or Bchelores in Special Education or Masters in Rehabilitation Psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post graduation in Early intervention – MSc Early intervention or PGDEI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specific Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Ability and willingness to travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Strong computer skills (MS- office and G-Suite, WhatsApp)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Ability to set priorities, multi-task <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf A self-starter with the ability to organize and detail-oriented<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Good oral and written Telugu communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Ability to build a connection with family caregivers and ability to converse on sensitive topics related to their child\u2019s health and disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Ability to simplify complex concepts for easy understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Analytical thinking with the ability to assess training effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4-5 years experience of working for children with Autism, Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Language: English and Telugu are a must.
